Coal Bunker * Boiler Room * Turbine Room

Immediately adjacent to the mill's boiler room is the coal bunker:

The coal bunker consists of a railroad door and set of tracks, with bins for coal on the side.

The arched rail door looks very grand, as arches tend to do.

A tall cylinder sits at the other end of the bunker.

It seems they didn't bother to burn the remaining coal when they shut down. I wonder how deep those bunkers go.

This wooden ceiling looks like it is brand new. The wood looks pretty expensive. Storing coal in a room with a wooden ceiling seems like a strange thing to do, but maybe if the flames from a fire were to reach that high, it wouldn't make any difference.

The catwalk forms a neat angle with the rest of the room from this point of view.

You can see a little bit into the boiler room from here, which is where we will go next.
